Two Trainers Sets Saturday Open House
BOARDMAN, Ohio – The Two Trainers fitness studio will celebrate its grand opening Saturday with an open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Co-owned by sisters Alison Straub Zabel and Stephanie Straub, the studio operates at 7825 South Ave.
The open house and ribbon-cutting event is open to the public and will include a tour of the 1,200-square-foot workout studio, refreshments, prizes and special opportunities for clients who sign-up during the event.
The Straub sisters, Youngstown State University graduates and lifelong Mahoning Valley residents, have a combined 18 years of professional experience. They are certified personal trainers and group fitness instructors through the National Exercise Trainers Association, and hold a variety of other certifications.
The studio, which pairs cutting-edge equipment with customized, personal training, gives clients a fitness experience that lets them focus on their goals without the intimidation factor, they say.
“We believe that everybody should feel good about who they are, whatever that means to them,” Straub Zabel said. “We discuss their goals and take the time to consider what their needs are so we can get them into a program that will achieve the best results.”
Programs are designed to be adaptable to the individual needs of each client, and include a combination of cardiovascular and strength training. While they use some free weights, Straub Zabel says the programs are equipment-based.
“It’s about putting your body into the correct form so you get better muscle benefits,” she said. “No matter how many trainers you have working with you, they can’t duplicate the motion that the equipment puts you in.”
In addition to their personal and group training sessions, Two Trainers offers custom meal plans, body compositions, and Titleist Performance Institute fitness screenings, which help improve rotational functions in athletics. The initial screening identifies an athlete’s physical limitations, and the training plan is designed to help improve their game. Two Trainers serves any athlete from the high school level to golfers in private clubs.
General workout programs are designed to help clients reach a variety of non-athletic goals as well, such as weight loss, muscle build, reduced body fat percentage, increased range of motion/flexibility, stress relief, increased energy and increased bone density. Sessions are by appointment only, which allows trainers to give each client the individual attention they need, Straub said, and eliminates any self-consciousness one might experience at a larger gym.
