Two Webinars Guide Businesses through Virus Challenges

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – To help businesses through an unprecedented challenge with the spread of the coronavirus, The Business Journal will host two webinars this week to provide leaders with everything they need to know when it comes to marketing and the financial health of their business.

On Tuesday, Business Journal CEO Jeff Herrmann will be joined by 898 Marketing founder Jeff Ryznar to talk about how to market your company in a time of crisis. There are five things for businesses to consider at times like these, Herrmann says; you can read about them here.

“Many wonder if now is the right time to advertise,” he says. “With the right tone, posture and approach, it’s appropriate to market your business during the coronavirus crisis. It’s a chance to show true leadership and commitment to your customers and the community. Leadership in a time of crisis earns long-term respect.”

The webinar begins at 11:30  a.m. Registration is available here.

On Wednesday, Herrmann will host a panel including individuals from HD Davis CPAs, White Glove Payroll and Mahoning Valley Economic Development Corp. discussing what financial resources are available to businesses.

Last week, funds from the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan program were made available to companies in Ohio and Pennsylvania and the Family First Coronavirus Act required businesses with fewer than 500 employees to provide workers with paid sick leave if they have COVID-19, the disease spread by the coronavirus, are in an at-risk population or are caring for family members.

The webinar will delve into both topics, including the payroll tax credit to pay for sick leave, and more.

The webinar begins at 11:30 a.m. Registration is available here.
