US Sen. Brown on Leveling the Playing Field 2.0 Act
WARREN, Ohio – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, joined Mahoning Valley workers and business leaders to discuss the need to pass the Fight Trade Cheats Act and Leveling the Playing Field 2.0 Act to strengthen trade enforcement.
The Leveling the Playing Field 2.0 Act pushes back against China’s market practices by providing the Department of Commerce with more tools to stop circumvention tactics.
“In the United States, we have stronger environmental standards. We have mostly strong [but not always] labor standards in our own country, but we can’t let countries sell us products that undercut our workers and undercut the environment,” Brown said.
