United Way of Trumbull County Helps Those in Need through 2020

NILES, Ohio — Last year was a challenging year says Ginny Pasha, president of the United Way of Trumbull County. With schools shut down, she says the organization had no way to offer its programs to the children of the community.

“We did, however, introduce a Born Learning trail in downtown Warren and we are excited about that,” she says, “We introduced the Governor’s Imagination Library’ which frankly could not have come at a better time.”

The United Way of Trumbull County conducted a survey to learn the biggest issues in the community. Where they found the most need were things like food, child care, mental health and housing insecurity.

“The challenge we had was making sure our partner agencies had the resources they need to meet the need for the increased demand for their services,” Pasha says.
