Upcoming Blazer EV Built with Generations of Experience
DETROIT – The 2024 Chevy Blazer EV comes with an eight-year, 100,000-mile warranty on its battery pack.
Andy Oury, engineering technical lead for high voltage battery packs, says Chevrolet can back up this warranty after designing electric vehicles for more than a decade.
“We’ve taken everything we learned from each generation of electric vehicles that we’ve done so we know exactly how our EV’s are being used,” he says.
Dalya Aboona, EV charging and infrastructure lead, said the Energy Assist feature allows customers to locate chargers and route destinations throughout their journeys.
“Energy Assist is a feature that’s available on the MyChevrolet mobile app,” she says. “The mobile app allows you to schedule your charge and it will send you notifications if your charge is complete or if it’s been interrupted so you’re always aware of what’s going on in your vehicle when you’re charging.”
Aboona says the MyChevrolet app lets users find and access more than 40,000 charging stations that are compatible with the vehicle within the U.S. and Canada.
“The benefit of having the dual cord charge unit is that it gives you the flexibility to charge with Level 1 – which is your standard outlet at home – but also able to charge with Level 2 which gets you more miles and range in the same amount of time,” she says. “It just gives you a lot more flexibility.”
