Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown Celebrate 150 Years
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – During the Mahoning Valley Historical Society’s Bites and Bits of History event Thursday, Sister Mary McCormick of the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown discussed their history and legacy of 150 years of dedicated community service.
She touches on how being an Ursuline Sister has benefited her life from education to mentorship and encouragement.
“We want the life of people in Youngstown to flourish over the next 150 years and more,” McCormick says. “Who knows what that’s going to look like, but it certainly is very much part of what we hope and believe in.”
