Utica Shale Academy Receives $2.35M Appalachian Community Grant

SALINEVILLE, Ohio – The Utica Shale Academy received a $2.35 million Appalachian Community Grant from the Governor’s Office of Appalachia.

They were one of four applicants to receive the award during the first round of grant submissions.

William Watson, superintendent of Utica Shale Academy, says the grant money will go toward a new building that will expand their welding, heavy equipment and robotics programs.
