Valley Industrial Trucks Receives Honors from Clark
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Valley Industrial Trucks, which sells and services Clark Material Handling Co. forklifts, was named 2016 Dealer of the Year at Clark’s North American headquarters in Lexington, Ky., last Thursday.
“I am proud to accept this prestigious Clark recognition on behalf of the dozens of dedicated, hard-working VIT employees who’ve made our success possible. We will continue to be the best dealer we can be for our customers throughout 2016 and beyond,” said Valley Industrial Trucks’ president, Jim Hammond.
In addition, the company was named as a Clark Forklift Dealer of Excellence, one of five across North America, and among 216 total dealer locations. “This is a huge honor for us,” Hammond said.
Valley Industrial Trucks will celebrate its 60th anniversary of being locally owned and operated in the Mahoning Valley. The milestone comes on the heels of a record 2015, with revenue reaching an all-time high and the company continuing to expand into new and growing market segments while adding to its work force and considering acquisitions, according to Hammond.
“We take great pride in our long history in the Mahoning Valley,” Hammond said. “Additionally, our strong 2015 and strategic investments in our business have us well positioned to continue to thrive in the future.”
In addition to increasing its service department staff, the company, which also sells and services Doosan and Sellick forklifts and other material handling equipment, has intensified its focus in the electric forklift space, which now represents more than 50% of all sales, Hammond said.
