Valley Partners Administering Mahoning County Small Business Relief Fund II

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Valley Partners will be administering a new round of Small Business Relief Fund grants thanks to an award provided by the Mahoning County Commissioners through their American Rescue Plan funds.

The $1 million will be disbursed to small businesses in grants of up to $10,000 each. Eligible small businesses must be located within Mahoning County and show a revenue reduction of at least 25% from 2019 to 2020.

“Each and every day it becomes more difficult for entrepreneurs to obtain capital due to regulations and economic conditions,” said Teresa Miller, Valley Partners executive director. “To help overcome this challenge, Valley Partners is excited to team up with the Mahoning County Commissioners.”

For all first-time grant recipients, applications will be accepted starting Nov. 1. On Nov. 8, applications will be accepted for all businesses. These grants will be awarded on a first come-first serve basis.

County commissioners have also awarded Valley Partners $2 million to create a revolving loan fund. The loan fund will offer short-term, lower interest rate financing to help businesses get through the current economic crisis.
