Valley STEM Academy Receives 5-Year Designation Renewal

CANFIELD, Ohio – The Ohio STEM Committee has renewed Valley STEM + ME2 Academy’s STEM designation for an additional five years.

The Valley STEM + ME2 Academy, located within the Mahoning County Career & Technical Center, is dedicated to cross-content integration and technological application. The renewal of the designation “underscores its ongoing dedication to excellence in STEM education and its pivotal role in shaping the future workforce,” a news release states.

“Valley STEM students and staff inspire me on a daily basis with their cross-content integration and use of technology in STEM education,” said Mara Banfield, Valley STEM superintendent and MCCTC director. “This additional five-year designation is validation of the hard work and dedication of the staff and students.”
