Valley Students to Participate in Science Day at YSU
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – STEM Professional Services in the College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics will host the second annual Science Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday in Kilcawley Center.
About 90 students from local high schools will participate in the event designed to expose students to science majors and career opportunities.
Faculty from the department of Chemical & Biological Sciences and the department of Physics, Astronomy, Geology and Environmental Science will host hands-on activities from building simple motors to fingerprinting at crime scenes.
Five local companies and organizations will speak to students about the various professions in science.
