Vallourec Names de Coignac Head of North America Operations
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Vallourec Group, the Paris-based company that manufactures tubular products primarily for the energy industry at its plants here and around the world, today announced the appointment of Nicolas de Coignac as senior vice president of the Vallourec Group, and president of its North America division. His appointment was effective April 1.
In his new position, de Coignac will lead all Vallourec businesses in North America and drilling operations worldwide. He reports directly to Philippe Crouzet, chairman of the Vallourec Group.
This move is in line with Vallourec’s new simplified organization by region to enhance customer proximity and increase operation efficiency, the company said. The Vallourec Group is now structured in four world regional hubs, regrouping its existing businesses — oil country tubular goods, drilling, power generation, pipe project, upstream and industry.
de Coignac is a member of Vallourec Group Management Committee. He joined the company in 1992 . He is a graduate of the Ecole Centrale Paris, with a master of engineering, and attended an executive program at INSEAD.
