Penn State President to Cut Ribbon at VenturePointe
HERMITAGE, Pa. – The new VenturePointe center at eCenter@LindenPointe will open Thursday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Among those at the ceremony will be Penn State University President Eric Barron and Penn State Shenango campus director Jo Anne Carrick.
VenturePointe is a business incubator created by Penn State Shenango students in the family studies or business and human development programs. It was established through a $50,000 grant from Invent Penn State, a statewide initiative to make more resources available to entrepreneurs.
Businesses in the incubator have access to office space, Penn State faculty, eCenter leaders, internship programs and 3-D printers. VenturePointe already has two tenants: Guardian’s Nest and ATP Resources.
