Vice President Biden to Campaign at UAW Hall
LORDSTOWN, Ohio – Vice President Joe Biden will appear at UAW Local 1714’s union hall, 2121 Salt Springs Road, Thursday to rally support for the Democratic Party’s nominee for president, Hillary Clinton, the Clinton campaign announced today.
Biden is scheduled to speak at 11 a.m. and doors open at 9:30 a.m., according to the release. The vice president is expected to talk about the high stakes in the general election and urge voters to back Clinton and her vision for an America “that is stronger together, with an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top,” the campaign said.
The campaign sweep will continue to the Cleveland area with a rally scheduled at UAW Local 1005’s hall in Parma. That rally begins at 5:45 p.m.
Biden made a similar campaign swing through the Mahoning Valley on Aug. 31, 2012, during he and President Barack Obama’s re-election bid.
Four years ago, after speaking to a crowd at UAW 1714, the vice president visited patrons at the Mocha House in Warren and then took in the festivities at the Canfield Fair, meeting and greeting Valley residents throughout the day.
Members of the public interested in attending the Mahoning Valley area event can RSVP here.
