Virus Relief Grants Available for Columbiana County Businesses
LISBON, Ohio – Columbiana County is taking applications for Small Business Relief Grants up to $10,000.
The grants, supported by the county’s Cares Act funding, are available to businesses in the county with revenue up to $3 million, 50 or fewer employees or 1099 workers and have lost more than 35% of their revenue when compared to last year. For-profit, nonprofits and sole proprietorships are eligible.
Applications are available online HERE. The deadline is Oct. 16. Questions about the application and process can be directed to the Columbiana County Office of Economic Development at 330 424 1800.
If applicants are deemed to eligible, the office will be in contact with the applicant. Those who move on to the second phase will be asked to submit documents supporting their application, including a W-9 to establish a vendor number for the county.
Also available are funds through the Lowe’s Rural Relief Small Business Grants program. The current round of funding is open through Oct. 5.
Funding is available to businesses in municipalities with fewer than 50,000, as defined by the address where a business is located. Applications will be reviewed based on criteria designed to prioritize particularly challenged businesses, and the final grantees will be randomly selected from the top scoring applicants.
