VLT Wagering Hits New Record at Racino
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Video lottery terminal wagering at Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course hit a new high in March, $156.1 million.
That topped the $154.3 million record set in July, according to the monthly report released by the Ohio Lottery Commission.
March turned out to be a record-shattering month for VLT play statewide as well, with wagers approaching $1.4 billion.
VLT betting at the Austintown racino was up more than $23 million from February’s $132.3 million. The previous record for VLT wagers there was set last July, $154.3 million.
VLT wagers reached $153.2 million in March 2021.
Patrons won credits worth $139.5 million in March, up form the $117.8 million the month before. Net win – credits played minus credits won and promotional play credits – was $14.4 million, up form $12.6 million in February.
Penn National Gaming Inc., which operates the racino, received $9.6 million, up from $8.3 million the month before. The lottery commission received $4.8 million, up from $4.2 million in February.
