VLT Wagers Set $154.3M Record at Hollywood Gaming
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Video lottery terminal wagers roared back from three months of declines to set a new monthly record at Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course in Austintown.
VLT play hit $154.3 million in July, up from $140.6 million the month before and surpassing the record $153.2 million wagered in March, according to the monthly reports posted to the Ohio Lottery’s website Monday.
Racino patrons took home $137.3 million in winnings last month, for a percentage payout of 90.4%, the commission reported.
Net win – the remainder when credits won and promotional play credits are subtracted from credits played – was $14.8 million. Of that, racino operator Penn National Gaming Inc. of Wyomissing, Pa., received $9.8 million. The lottery commission received nearly $5 million.
