Wagers Total $116.3M in May at Hollywood Gaming
AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Monthly video lottery terminal wagers at Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Racecourse totaled $116,317,525 in May the second-highest total since the racino opened in 2014.
The total, roughly $6 million ahead of the total in April and $21 million ahead of the May 2018 total, lags only behind the wager total from March, when nearly $119 million was played at the Austintown racino.
Bettors won $103.45 million at Hollywood Gaming in May, up from April’s winnings of $98.23 million in April and the May 2018 mark of $84.48 million.
Net win at the racino – wagers minus credits won and promotion play credits – came in at $11.28 million, up from April and May 2018, when net win was $10.82 million and $9.55 million, respectively.
The share taken from the monthly net win by Penn National Gaming, which operates Hollywood Gaming, was $7.46 million. The Ohio Lottery’s take was $3.78 million.
Across Ohio’s seven casinos with video lottery terminals, $1.05 billion was wagered and $939.89 million won. MGM Northfield, formerly Hard Rock Rocksino, led casinos with $242.06 million wagered and $216.18 million won by bettors.
