Wardle Joins Universal IFM as President

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Universal IFM this week announced the addition of Mike Wardle as company president. The organization specializes in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, lighting and ground maintenance.

Wardle’s career spans more than three decades in HVAC and utility management. Starting in 1990 at Roth Bros, Wardle served as regional sales consultant, director of national service sales/marketing and director of operations.

When Roth was acquired by FirstEnergy, Wardle transitioned to business director for FirstEnergy Solutions, then became vice president of national services. Roth was later acquired by Sodexo, and Wardle earned the title of vice president of national solutions, developing a new division called Energy Efficiency. That division grew to become the most profitable for Roth Bros. Inc. in its 100-year history.

“Through support from my peers and leadership within my career, I was able to build protocols and establish new areas within companies,” Wardle says. “I’m ready to get that same momentum with Universal IFM. I can’t wait to see what our team accomplishes.”

During a brief retirement in 2021, Wardle spent time with family and friends, as well as traveling. Now, he’s ready to get back to work.

“I’m looking forward to using my sales and leadership skills to grow Universal IFM into one of the leading HVAC/facilities companies in the U.S.,” Wardle says.

Throughout his expansive career, Wardle has published articles and held various board positions throughout the HVAC industry. In his spare time, Wardle enjoys spending time with his family: wife Pamela; and three daughters, Mackenzie (Mike Rusu), Morgan and Mallory.
