Warren Amphitheatre, Philharmonic Receive Grants from Chamber Foundation
WARREN, Ohio – Two local arts organizations have received grants from The Warren Area Chamber of Commerce Education, Civic and Cultural Foundation.
The Warren Community Amphitheatre Foundation received $20,000 to support the River Rock at the Amp 2021 concert season and the Warren Philharmonic Orchestra received $5,000 for its Strings of Joy program for students.
The foundation, established in 1991 and managed by the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber, exclusively funds projects in Trumbull County. Since 1991, it has given more than $1.7 million to organizations.
The River Rock at the Amp series is in its 11th season. It brings tens of thousands of people to the downtown amphitheater almost every weekend of the summer for live music. The series has the additional effect of bringing patrons to downtown restaurants, bars and hotels.
The Warren Philharmonic’s Strings of Joy Program provides stringed instruments to students in grades 3-8 at no cost. Trained instructors, who are members of the orchestra, give weekly lessons to the students.
