Warren-Trumbull Library Names Schneider Children’s Department Manager

WARREN, Ohio – Sam Schneider has joined the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library system as manager of the children’s department at the Warren Library.

Schneider was most recently the early learning specialist with the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County. Before that, she worked as the digital projects librarian at John Carroll University in Cleveland. And she previously worked with the W-TCPL as a library branch specialist at the Howland Library.

“I’m really excited to be back in this library system and to focus on services for children and their families in this area,” Schneider says. “We have such great resources already. I’m looking forward to working with everyone here as well as others in the community to continue to provide services and programming that are needed by our young patrons.”

Schneider earned her master of library and information science degree from Kent State University. She also holds a degree in English from Youngstown State University and an associate degree in early childhood education from Eastern Gateway Community College.

Schneider is on the Ohio Ready to Read Task Force and is an Early Literacy 101 trainer.

She replaces Amanda Adkins, who has relocated from the area.
