Washington-Suber Joins J.E. Washington Funeral Services

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – J.E. Washington Funeral Services is pleased to announce that Whitney Washington-Suber is officially recognized by the state of Ohio as a licensed funeral director and becomes a second-generation bereavement care specialist.

The Youngstown native obtained her B.S. in religious studies and her master of social work degree from Youngstown State University. She also recently earned her credentials as a licensed independent social worker. She serves as the director of housing and supportive services for the Beatitude House and provides case management services for Coleman Health Services.

Washington-Suber is a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and has served as youth department coordinator. As a community volunteer, she serves at the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley.

J.E. Washington Funeral Services, which has operated in the Mahoning Valley for more than four decades, was founded by James E. Washington. The firm has three locations to serve the diverse needs of the Youngstown, Canton and Farrell, Pa., communities.
