Wean Foundation Now Accepting Applicants for Grants

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Raymond John Wean Foundation’s Community Investment Grants Program is now accepting letters of inquiry for organizations looking for financial support.

The grants program’s goal is to empower residents by focusing its support on community revitalization, economic opportunity, educational opportunity and public service leadership.

The letter of inquiry is meant to outline an organization’s ideas and work. The foundation will use this letter to determine if there is sufficient alignment for possible funding.

Letter of inquiry for grants of $1,000 to $5,000 are accepted at any time. Submissions will be reviewed immediately and a decision will be made within four weeks of receipt.

The deadline is June 1 to submit a letter of inquiry for a grant over $5,000. The request will be reviewed at the foundation’s September board meeting.
