Wean Foundation REI Workshop Dates Announced
WARREN, Ohio – The Raymond John Wean Foundation has announced the organization’s Race Equity and Inclusion workshop session dates for 2023. The two-day virtual sessions will take place on Feb. 22 and 23, June 14 and 15, Nov. 8 and 9, and Nov. 15 and 16.
Those interested in participating are encouraged to register for an early workshop as spots are limited and later sessions tend to fill up. Before registering, participants should ensure they are able to attend for the entire two-day training sessions.
“I found the training to be so humbling and eye opening,” says Clinton Householder, an attorney with Community Legal Aid Services, Inc. “The content of the training was detailed and engaging. I would highly recommend this training to others. It highlights racial justice and racial equity in ways which are inspiring and motivating.”
The workshops, hosted by ThirdSpace Action Lab, are designed to develop the capacity of participants to better understand racism in its institutional and structural forms. Moving away from a focus on personal bigotry and bias, this workshop presents a historical, cultural and structural analysis of racism. Should cost be a factor in your decision to attend a workshop, contact Tara Walker-Pollock at 330-395- 5600 Ext. 105 to learn more about scholarship opportunities.
