Weathersfield Township Renews Contract with Regional Chamber
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Weathersfield Township trustees voted earlier this week to renew their contract with the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber for customized economic development and related services for 2019, which is the third consecutive year they have contracted for the services.
Under the terms of the one-year, $25,000-contract, the chamber will provide Weathersfield specific services that focus on economic development, government advocacy and marketing, under the leadership of Sarah Boyarko, chief operating officer; Nick Santucci, director of government and public affairs; and Kim Calvert, vice president of marketing.
Services range from the chamber team’s addressing ongoing corridor issues and conducting additional business retention and expansion visits with existing companies, to supporting these efforts via marketing strategy, while monitoring state and federal legislation that impacts the township’s business climate. Collectively, the services are helping to create a strategy in an effort to increase future growth opportunities.
“Township trustees are eager to continue to work with the chamber for the third year,” said Steven Gerberry, Weathersfield Township Trustee. “Past successes have been numerous, and our partnership has proven to be a real benefit for Weathersfield, especially as the chamber has assisted with significant grants we have received through its research and advocacy services.”
