Webinar Series to Focus on Boosting Financial Wellness

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Extension will offer a free webinar series aimed at helping participants boost their financial wellness by tidying financial clutter, making smart food choices and having effective financial conversations with others.

The three-part Boosting Financial Wellness Series is designed for the public, human services providers and anyone who wants to learn more about boosting financial wellness. 

Here are the webinars in the series:

  • “Financial Clutter,” noon to 1 p.m. Jan. 18: In this webinar, extension educators will discuss financial clutter, which involves having items such as miscellaneous receipts or unnecessary credit cards, and the impact on financial health. The webinar will teach participants how to identify financial clutter, simplify recordkeeping and reduce financial stress by using tools such as budgeting and tax forms.
  • “Money and Nutrition,” noon to 1 p.m. Jan. 25: This session will explore the similarities between money management and nutrition and offer suggestions for shopping for healthful food while saving money.
  • “Money and Relationships,” noon to 1 p.m. Feb. 1: This webinar is designed to help participants assess their relationship with finances and engage in productive discussions about money.

Penn State Extension offers the series for free, but participants must register by 11:59 p.m. the day before each event to receive the link to access the webinar. Registrants also will receive access to the webinar recording.
