Webinar Rewind | The Convergence of TV & Digital Video with Spectrum Reach
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — A free webinar held on June 8 gave business owners a deeper look into the role of television today and the impact that digital video advertising could have for your business.
Spectrum Reach local sales manager Michelle Novotny joined Michael Caskey, advanced advertising manager, and Account Executive Josh Aikens for the webinar.
Because of the rapid advancements of technology and the number of different ways that consumers absorb media, advertising companies have had to pivot and shift their offerings as TV is no longer the only source of media consumption for consumers. Spectrum Reach has a unique offering that allows granular advertising and intentional communication for businesses to their customers.
“People are not watching TV the way they did in the past. Viewership has changed dramatically and it is important to stay in front of customers,” says Novotny. “People nowadays have around 11 different devices. [We] are able to find and track the customer no matter what device they are on.”
Spectrum Reach uses first-party data collected from cable and internet boxes, as well as overlapping with third party data to help clients best reach their target audience for online advertising. They are able to hone in with all of the collected data and geographical information to ensure clients are getting their message to the right people, in the right place, at the right time.
Their broad-reaching capabilities allow them to market to anyone; however, local advertising is more effective in that they have access to their first party data because of the in-home cable and internet boxes in those households mentioned above.
Spectrum Reach is the advertising arm for Spectrum – the second largest TV and internet company in the country – and sells video advertising across multiple screens, as well as online advertising services like search, display and online video. To serve its clients, Spectrum Reach has teams for data, research, products, a 24/7 reporting platform and production.
The company has locations across the country, with brick-and-mortar stores for both Spectrum and Spectrum Reach. Locally, Spectrum Reach covers all of Trumbull County, Mahoning County, part of Columbiana County and a portion of western Pennsylvania.
