Weekend Entertainment | Bill Engvall, Walker Hayes Top the List

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Bill Engvall, who rose to fame as part of the “Blue Collar Comedy” concert films, will come to The Robins Theatre in Warren on Saturday for two performances.

The 7 p.m. show is sold out, but tickets remain available for the 9 p.m. show. Prices range from $69 to $30. Click HERE.

Engvall reunited with his comedy cohorts Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy on the “Them Idiots Whirled Tour” in 2012, which aired as a special on CMT.

Mollie B has been the star of her own RFD-TV polka show, “Mollie B Polka Party,” for years. She achieved an extra dollop of temporary polka cred when she had a brief appearance in the 2018 Clint Eastwood film, “The Mule” (she plays herself in a performance at a VFW hall).

Mollie B and Squeezebox will return to the Mahoning Valley on Saturday for a 3 p.m. show at Avon Oaks in Girard. Admission is $25. Call Peppermint Records at 330 783 2222 for information.

The acclaimed Ailey II modern dance troupe will come to Youngstown State University’s Ford Hall on Monday for a 7 p.m. performance, part of the Pipino Performing Arts Series. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at the box office before the show or in advance at www.ysu.tix.

One of the Mahoning Valley’s traditions, The Pumpkin Walk at Twilight at Fellows Riverside Gardens, will take place Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. Admission is free for the this event, which typically attracts thousands.

Families can take part in the wonders of the fall season as they walk along the pumpkin-lined paths as the day turns to night. Be sure and visit Scarecrow Row, a new attraction in 2022, located near the Margaret Cushwa Education Building. Scarecrow Row features various scarecrows dressed and decorated by local area nonprofit organizations.
