Weekend Entertainment | Disney on Ice, Marie and Engelbert

YOUNGSTOWN – December always brings a blizzard of holiday entertainment to the Valley, and it will reach its peak this weekend.

It starts tonight with Disney On Ice and Marie Osmond.

Disney On Ice will bring its Into the Magic show to Covelli Centre for seven performances tonight through Sunday.

The action-packed and ever-popular family show will see Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse on a global trek where they will meet up with other beloved characters.

Performances are at 7 p.m. tonight and Friday; 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday; and 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday.

Marie Osmond is no stranger to Youngstown. She will be backed by the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra in a holiday concert at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Powers Auditorium. For information, click HERE.

Iconic love song crooner Engelbert Humperdinck (“Release Me,” “After the Lovin’”) will return to the Valley on Wednesday for a concert at Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown. For tickets, click HERE.

Holiday shows also continue at local theaters, including the premiere of “A Star Trek Christmas” at Stage Left Players, “A Tuna Christmas” at The Youngstown Playhouse, “Child of Glory” at The Hopewell Theatre, “A Christmas Carol” at Salem Community Theatre, “How the Drag Queen Stole Christmas” at Rust Belt Theater and the radio play of “It’s a Wonderful Life” by the new Indigo Family Theater in Columbiana.

There’s a lot of other things to keep you busy, including concerts by The Little River Band and First Snow at The Robins Theatre in Warren, holiday markets in Youngstown and New Castle, and the Hometown Holiday and Parade event in downtown Warren.
