Weekend Entertainment | From Basketball to Broadway
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – By far the hottest ticket is for tonight’s Horizon League battle between Youngstown State University and Milwaukee for first place. The tipoff is at 7 p.m. at Beeghly Centre on the YSU campus.
Also tonight, the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra is in action with “Broadway Blockbuster.” The 7:30 p.m. concert at Powers Auditorium will feature a trio of Broadway singers and show tunes from some of the greatest musicals.
Viola-wielding comedian Isabel Hagen will be in town this weekend, with a show Friday at The Links in Columbiana, and two shows Saturday at The Funny Farm Comedy Club in Youngstown.
On stage, Rust Belt Theater Company will bring back its original comic musical “Dating Sucks” Friday and Saturday. At YSU Theatre, “The Last Five Years” opens a four-night run tonight at Spotlight Theater in Bliss Hall.
Finally, the fantastic tribute band Queen Nation will perform at The Robins Theatre at 8 p.m. Saturday.
