Weekend Entertainment | Git-R-Done or ‘Gotta Dance’?
As catchphrases go, “Git-R-Done” is up there with the best of them – and nobody even knows what it means.
Larry the Cable Guy, who invented the phrase, has been getting it done for quite some time. The comedian will return to the Mahoning Valley on Friday for a 7:30 p.m. show at Packard Music Hall in Warren.
What’s the reason for the redneck comic’s longevity? Simple: He’s extremely funny.
Friday’s show is basically sold out, but to purchase one of the few remaining tickets, click HERE.
In 1974, Average White Band released “Pick Up the Pieces,” easily one of the biggest jazz-funk hits of all time. The act also produced one of the best band logos that year – a stylized “AWB” – and put it on the cover of the album they released that year.
Average White Band is not only still around but will come to the Robins Theatre in Warren on Saturday for an 8 p.m. concert. A few tickets remain. Click HERE.
Youngstown’s Easy Street Productions is back in action this weekend with “Gotta Dance!,” a full-blown musical revue of Broadway hits that looks like it will be great. Learn more HERE.
