Weekend Entertainment | Super Cruise, Cirque du Soleil and the Scrappers

Summer kicks into high gear this weekend – and yes, that is an automotive pun, because today is the start of the Salem Super Cruise.

Northeastern Ohio has always been a capital of car culture, and the Super Cruise is one of its highest rituals.

The event, which runs through Sunday, takes over the entirety of Salem’s beautiful downtown, turning it into a scene from “American Graffiti” that lasts four days. The owners of muscle cars, antiques, hot rods and other machines cruise the circuit in a glorious summertime rite.

There is also a car show, live music and a festival midway set up on Broadway.

The Salem Super Cruise is special, and the atmosphere is unbeatable. To learn more, click HERE.

Cirque du Soleil is back in Youngstown for four performances of its “OVO” show, Friday through Sunday at Covelli Centre.

Cirque du Soleil is simply one of the most unique entertainment properties in the world and is always worth seeing. The “OVO” show inevitably leaves audiences delighted.
