Weekend Entertainment: Wayne Newton, Jim Brickman, Kenny G and a Large Mouse

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — It will be a huge weekend of entertainment in the Mahoning Valley, led by Mickey Mouse and Mr. Las Vegas.

It begins tonight when Disney On Ice returns to Covelli Centre. The annual visit has become a holiday tradition in the Mahoning Valley but it did not take place last year because of the pandemic.

Disney On Ice Presents Mickey and Friends will do shows at 7 p.m. tonight and Friday; 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday; and 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are available at the Covelli box office and at Ticketmaster.com.

On Saturday, Wayne Newton will make a rare appearance outside of Las Vegas when he comes to the Robins Theatre in Warren for an 8 p.m. concert. For information, click HERE.

There are several other concerts on the schedule.

Peter Noone of Herman’s Hermits (“I’m Henry the VIII, I Am”) will star in Old English Christmas, a mix of hits by the British band and traditional Christmas songs. The show is at 8 p.m. tonight at The Robins Theatre. Click HERE for tickets.

Pianist Jim Brickman will be accompanied by the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra for a Christmas concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Powers Auditorium. Click HERE for tickets.

Brian McKnight of ’90s boy band Boyz II Men will mix originals and holiday standards at his concert at 7 p.m. Saturday at Packard Music Hall. Click HERE for tickets.
