Wenick Joins Farmers Bank as Chief Wealth Management Officer

CANFIELD, Ohio – Mark J. Wenick has joined Farmers National Bank as chief wealth management officer, Kevin J. Helmick, president and CEO of the bank and Farmers National Banc Corp., announced today.

The position is new and Wenick will oversee all wealth management services the bank and its affiliates provide.

Before joining Farmers, was Mahoning Valley regional president of Chemical Bank, formerly and Talmer Bank and Trust in Mahoning and Trumbull counties. Before that he was financial adviser at First National Trust Co., executive vice president for wealth management at the former First Place Bank and executive vice president at BB&T Bank. In his position, Wenick will manage and lead operations for Farmers Trust Co., Farmers National Investments, Farmers National Insurance, Farmers Private Client Services and National Associates Inc. As chief wealth management officer, Wenick will serve on Farmers senior management team and the bank board of directors.

Wenick brings more than 35 years of experience, something Helmick says will serve the bank and its affiliates well with the growing wealth management operations. “We’ve seen an abundance of growth in our wealth management services, which sets us apart from other community banks of our size and makes this new position vital to its continued success. Helmick said in a prepared statement. “Mark is an excellent fit to lead the efforts of our five wealth management divisions given the depth of his background in wealth management, his vision for growing these divisions and his commitment to serving the community.”

Wenick graduated from Columbia University with baccalaureate in history and political science and earned his juris doctorate at Duquesne University.
