Western Reserve, Trumbull Memorial Foundations Seek Proposals
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Western Reserve Health Foundation and the Trumbull Memorial Health Foundation are seeking proposals for their community health and issue specific grant programs.
The foundations, affiliates of the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley, support projects that serve the health needs of Mahoning and Trumbull counties.
Requests to the Western Reserve Health Foundation should align with Mahoning County health priorities including promoting healthy living and eating, addressing infant mortality, unhealthy birth outcomes and diabetes.
Trumbull Memorial Health Foundation requests should align with Trumbull County health priorities including improving access to health care, reducing crime and drug abuse, and protecting the environment.
The issue specific grant funds available through the Trumbull Memorial Health Foundation are:
- Oncology Fund
- Hospice Fund
- Rose Hughes Diabetes Fund
- Wean Foundation Fund for Women’s and Children’s Health
Grant funds available through the Western Reserve Health Foundation are:
- Cancer Fund
- Tod Children’s Hospital Pediatric Fund
Initial letters of inquiry for the community health programs are due Aug. 18. The deadline for submitting an application for the issue specific grant program is Sept. 29. No letters of inquiry are required for issue specific funds.
