Westminster Celebrity Series Includes ‘Hamilton’ Star, Postmodern Jukebox
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The 2022-23 Westminster College Celebrity Series will include performances by Broadway star Mandy Gonzalez of “Hamilton” and a trip back in time with Postmodern Jukebox.
The lineup also includes a show featuring the music of Billy Joel and Elton John, a Celtic Angels holiday show, DrumLine Live and a children’s show.
All shows begin at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium on the Westminster College campus unless otherwise noted.

Here is a closer look at the season:
Mandy Gonzalez, Oct. 8: With a built-in fanbase from her current role in Broadway’s “Hamilton” as Angelica Schuyler, Mandy Gonzalez will kick off the season. Gonzalez has also portrayed Elphaba in “Wicked” and Nina Rosario in “In the Heights.”
The Music of Billy Joel & Elton John starring Michael Cavanaugh, Nov. 5: Handpicked by Billy Joel to star in the hit Broadway musical “Movin’ Out” and also nominated for a Tony and a Grammy award for this lead role, Cavanaugh will play songs such as “Piano Man,” “Rocket Man,” “Bennie and the Jets,” “Movin’ Out,” “I’m Still Standing,” “My Life” and many more.
Celtic Angels Christmas featuring Celtic Knight Dancers and The Trinity Band Ensemble of Dublin, Dec. 16: Celtic Angels features Irish dancing by Patrick O’Mahoney and Blane Donovan of Riverdance.
DrumLine Live, Feb. 11: From the musical team behind the hit movies “Drumline” and “Drumline: A New Beat,” this international tour is based on the hstorically Black college marching band tradition. The colorful, choreographed routines feature heavy doses of drum riffs.
Postmodern Jukebox: Life in the Past Lane, April 1: Created in 2011 by pianist Scott Bradlee, Postmodern Jukebox blends modern pop songs with vintage music styles and culture.
Celebrity Series for Kids: Tall Stories production of “The Gruffalo,” May 15: Join Mouse on a daring adventure through the deep, dark wood in this musical adaptation of the classic picture book by Julian Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. For ages 3 and up. This show is not part of the season subscription package.
