Westminster College Appoints Whitehead VP Enrollment Management

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Following a nationwide search, Lana Whitehead was named vice president for enrollment management at Westminster College, effective Aug. 14.

Whitehead has served as a strategic enrollment management professional for the past 15 years, most recently serving as assistant vice president for lifelong learning at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. At KSU, she also held positions as interim associate vice president for enrollment management, director of enrollment management strategic initiatives, assistant dean of graduate studies and director of graduate admissions.

Her broad experience in student recruitment and her deep commitment to student success will position her well to build upon the strengths of the College’s enrollment management systems now and into the future,” says Westminster College President Dr. Kathy Brittain Richardson.

As vice president for enrollment management, Whitehead, who will report to Richardson, will lead Westminster’s admissions and financial aid teams.

Before her time at Kent State, Whitehead held various positions in Professional and Graduate Studies at Hiram College. She also worked as a coordinator and academic intervention specialist at Youngstown State University. Before her career in higher education, Whitehead spent 20 years as a business consultant and business systems analyst.

Whitehead holds a B.S. in human development and social policy from Northwestern University and a M.S. in student affairs leadership and practice from Youngstown State University. She is pursuing a doctor of education degree in interprofessional leadership at Kent State University.
