Westminster Speaker Series to Feature Wall Street Journal Reporter
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster College Analyst Program’s Speaker Series will host reporter and author Katherine Blunt in a virtual discussion at 8:30 p.m. April 20.
Blunt is an energy reporter for the Wall Street Journal and author of “California Burning: The Fall of Pacific Gas and Electric – and What It Means for America’s Power Grid,” which she will discuss at the event.
Much of Blunt’s work has focused on wildfires, drought and other challenges facing utilities in the West. Her coverage of Pacific Gas and Electric was a finalist for the 2020 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting and earned a Gerald Loeb Award, the highest honor in business reporting.
Before joining the Wall Street Journal, she worked for the Houston Chronicle and the San Antonio News-Express. She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and history from Elon University in Elon, North Carolina.
