The Jewish Community Center, Youngstown, has named Laura Weymer as its health and wellness director. The position will enable Weymer to combine her passion for health and wellness with her previous experiences in development and fundraising, says Mike Rawl, JCC executive director. “The position is a new investment that will provide additional oversight over our largest revenue-producing department and will create several outcomes,” he adds. These include member service, greater operational efficiency and development of new and diverse revenue sources. Weymer previously worked at the YMCA of Youngstown and the Boys & Girls Club of Youngstown. “I love sports and the way that it brings people together,” she says. “And it’s the same with fitness and health. It’s just a community that you don’t get everywhere.”
