What Happens During a Home Inspection?
LAKE MILTON, Ohio – In this episode of The Real T, Rick Galloway of A Complete Environmental Inspection Service demonstrates the home inspection process at his Lake Milton property.
The inspection begins with a walk around the exterior of the home to examine the foundation and roof, and ends inside with a look at the electrical setup and mechanical aspects such as the furnace and hot water tank. Galloway also notes that inspectors are not required to look at appliances such as washers and dryers, but he opts to include them when he is working with a client.
While it is the buyer’s responsibility to hire a home inspector, Galloway recommends that sellers undergo a pre-inspection as well. “That way you can correct any issues prior to putting your home on the market,” he says.
Based in Boardman, A Complete Environmental Inspection Service provides residential and commercial inspections throughout Ohio. Galloway also owns Galloway Construction and Restoration, and his background in construction gives him a unique insight into the inspection process.
