Winner, Outback and Handel’s Bring Meals to St. Joe’s
WARREN, Ohio – Winner Aviation partnered with Outback Steakhouse and Handel’s Ice Cream to deliver meals to employees at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.
The companies donated the meals to all three shifts in the hospital’s respiratory, intensive care and emergency units as thanks for their work during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Each of the 66 meals from Outback was individually wrapped to maintain safety and Handel’s donated personal-sized containers of several of their most popular flavors.
Delivering the food were Winner regional manager Tyler Wolfe and chief financial officer Jeff Knight, as well as Niles Outback Steakhouse owner Ben Rhoads.
“When I pitched the idea to [President Meg Bianco], she didn’t even let me get to the end of my sentence. She heard Outback Steakhouse, Handle’s Ice Cream, and St. Joe’s Hospital, and she was on board,” Wolfe said in a statement.
“Our hearts go out to all who are affected by this pandemic, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to give something back to the people who are putting their lives on the line to save others,” Bianco added.
