Winter Wine Affair Moving to Mr. Anthony’s

BOARDMAN, Ohio – Winter Wine Affair is moving to Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center, 7440 South Ave.

The annual wine tasting event, presented by Ohio Wine, will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. March 9. In past years, the event was held at the Stambaugh Auditorium ballroom.

In response to suggestions, the 2024 event will include attractive food displays for all attendees, more seating and giveaways and products from some new wineries.

At least a dozen wineries and at least that many local vendors will offer a range of gift items.

Guests will receive 15 wine samples and a souvenir glass, and an array of assorted cheeses, spreads, meats and crackers. They will also receive a wine tote bag and a wine and food pairing wheel. The event will include hourly door prizes and a basket raffle to benefit the Ohio Wines Memorial Scholarship fund.

Tickets are $45 per person, and guests are asked to order in advance as only 100 tickets will be available at the door for $55.

VIP tickets are $55 and can be purchased only in advance; the price includes access to a VIP area where additional snacks will be available and double gold and gold medal wines from wineries across the state will be poured.

Nondrinker tickets are $25 and include food sampling.
