Women in Business: Heather Chunn

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Heather Chunn is vice president of the Youngstown State University Foundation and is responsible for all internal operations. These include financial reporting and transactions, human resources and the awarding of scholarships. Heather is also the Foundation’s liaison to Youngstown State University.

The YSU Foundation is an independent, autonomous, private, nonprofit corporation that pursues, manages and distributes resources to support scholarships and student initiatives, as well as the growth and development of YSU. It was established in 1966.

Chunn came to YSU’s former office of development after working in the private sector as a media buyer and planner. She transitioned to the YSU Foundation in 2014 as a development officer and subsequently was promoted to vice president.

Chunn earned a B.S. in marketing and an MBA from YSU.

She is very active in the community and currently serves as board chairman of the Mahoning Valley College Access Program. She also is on the board of directors for Western Reserve Health Education, a nonprofit affiliated with Trumbull Regional Medical Center.
