Women in Business: Sarah Boyarko

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Sarah Boyarko joined the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber in 2006 as executive coordinator. She quickly moved through the ranks to become manager of Business Development and then vice president and senior vice president of Economic Development. In 2018 she was named chief operating officer.

Under her direction, the Chamber has managed a variety of economic development projects, resulting in more than $5.2 billion of private investment and 7,683 new jobs, as well as the generation and management of $1.2 billion of pending investment that could result in the creation of nearly 3,452 jobs throughout the Mahoning Valley.

Sarah’s name is revered in the site selection industry. Many of the Valley’s large industrial employers have provided testimonials that they are here because of the work performed by her. She was also the driving force behind the Chamber’s recently launched, robust internship program that provides outstanding professional development opportunities for Valley students.

Sarah is a trusted, valued colleague to all those she works with in the business community and a role model and mentor to the team at the Chamber.
