WRTA Launches myStop Mobile System

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Western Reserve Transit Authority has launched a smartphone app allowing riders access to vital information about Mahoning County’s bus routes.

“The myStop Mobile system takes all the guesswork out of riding the bus,” said WRTA director of transportation Judy Rodriguez in a release. “With a couple of taps on their smartphone, our riders can find out exactly where their bus is, when it is expected to arrive at their stop and when it will arrive at their destination.”

The app, available for Android and Apple devices, will update users on the location of buses along WRTA’s 27 fixed routes, as well as the status of the bus, its most recent stop and how many passengers are on board.

Also included are a trip-planning feature and text and email notifications. For trip planning, users can enter their location and destination and are provided with the bus routes that will get them to their endpoint, as well as any transfers they have to make between buses.

In addition to the mobile app, all features are also available through the agency’s website, WRTAOnline.com.
