Y-Live Concert Headliner to be Revealed Monday
YOUNGSTOWN – The headliner of this year’s Y-Live concert in Wean Park will be announced Monday morning, April 3.
The massive annual concert event, presented by promoter JAC Live of Youngstown, typically draws 20,000 fans. Last year’s event, featuring country music superstar Luke Bryan, easily hit that attendance mark.
Past headliners included Florida Georgia Line, Blake Shelton and Zac Brown Band. Last year was the first time the concert was at Wean Park; previously, it was at Stambaugh Stadium.
This year, the concert will be July 29.
The event also raises money for charity. Last year’s concert pulled in nearly $35,000, according to a press release from JAC Live. Local nonprofit groups benefited from the money, with $10,000 going to the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley in support of its Success After 6 program.
These nonprofit groups raised funds for their organizations with volunteer efforts from their members at concession outposts throughout the event and in satellite parking lots in downtown.
