YARS Breaks Ground on New Main Gate
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – A groundbreaking ceremony took place Tuesday to celebrate the new main gate complex project at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station.
The $11 million project will feature state-of-the-art facilities and technology to enhance anti-terrorism capabilities.
“A project like this can be a jump starter for a lot of other subcontractors, not just our main contractor here – Mike Coates Construction – but the subcontractors and the trades that they’ll bring in on that project can be a real jump starter for a community like this,” says Cristie Mitchell, deputy chief of planning and project management for the U.S. Corps of Engineers – Louisville district.
