YBI Announces Companies Competing in Shark Tank Event

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Five companies will get an opportunity to make their pitches at the Youngstown Business Incubator’s Shark Tank event Oct. 19 at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center. 

The YBI received 60 applications, and the five companies that were selected to participate in the fundraising event and compete for up to $30,000 in prize awards.

They are:

Backyard Banger: An affordable, portable, and storable outdoor kitchen island.

D.O.P.E. Cider House and Winery: Ohio’s first black, woman-owned cidery.

Drox AI: a machine learning system that learns from providers over time.

Engineered Products Inc.: Custom-engineered RFID tags for the Department of Defense and heavy industrial markets.

Thera Logics: Developing a portable device to enable eccentric muscle exercises, making it possible to rehab at home.

“YBI is fortunate that our annual signature fundraiser fits seamlessly within our mission to elevate every entrepreneur, while also delivering great entertainment and fun,” said Luke Politsky, director of development at the YBI. “It allows us to shine a spotlight on the future of our Valley and the businesses helping to take us there.”
