YBI, Magnet Expand Partnership on Advanced Manufacturing Tech
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — The Youngstown Business Incubator and Manufacturing and Growth Advocacy Network, also known as Magnet, announced a new partnership Wednesday to support local manufacturers in the adoption and development of new technologies.
Magnet will leverage YBI’s resources to provide additive manufacturing assistance to companies across northeast Ohio that are interested in taking advantage of the design and production efficiency that AM provides.
YBI specializes in supporting manufacturers incorporating the technology into their operations using additively manufactured tooling, hybrid manufacturing and 3D printed sand cores for metal casting.
“Magnet is excited to deepen our partnership with YBI as we jointly serve manufacturers in Northeast Ohio with services focused on additive technology, supply chain, and Industry 4.0. Our organizations have successfully collaborated for years and this next step in our relationship will allow us to offer even greater impact for manufacturers in MAGNET’s 24 county region,” said Mike O’Donnell, Magnet’s vice president of operations.
“MAGNET is a great resource to our local industrial base. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with them to increase our impact with manufacturers across the region,” said Barb Ewing, YBI CEO.
