YBI Receives $75K Grant from Youngstown Foundation
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown Foundation has awarded a $75,000 grant to the Youngstown Business Incubator for general operations and accessibility.
The grant will support YBI’s mission to assist the diversity of ideas, leaders and technologies that will help build future business opportunities for the Mahoning Valley and surrounding areas, a news release states.
“We are honored to have received this generous support from the Youngstown Foundation,” said Barb Ewing, YBI CEO. “This grant will allow us to further our efforts to elevate every entrepreneur and make a meaningful impact in the Youngstown and Mahoning Valley communities.”
YBI was founded in 1995 as a general purpose incubator but has developed expertise areas supporting business-to-business technology, additive manufacturing and minority, women and youth entrepreneurs. It provides education, counseling and other services to entrepreneurs.
“YBI’s work is important to innovation and job creation in the region and worthy of continued investment,” said Lynnette Forde, Youngstown Foundation president.
